| AbstractENG | AbstractENG: Background Several studies indicate that Narrow-band ultraviolet-B (NB-UVB) light therapy is most effective treatment for various skin disorders including psoriasis. It has been shown to enhance the efficacy in treating patients. Before treatment with NB-UVB must test the dosage of UV light is prescribed in accordance with an individuals skin sensitivity. In addition to establish the proper dosage of UV light to determine a minimal erythema dose (MED) and starting doses were 35% or 50% or 70% of MED. In this present study was classified into two types of NB-UVB device as follows; whole body and targeted light therapy may differ at different such as procedure internal cost and time to testing MED. Moreover there are not many studies that have explored the internal cost and time of testing MED.Objective To determine the cutaneous response to NB-UVB light therapy of three devices in Thai healthy participants with skin phototype III-V and to determine the average internal cost and time.Materials and Methods In an experimental study researchers look at the effects of MED testing on healthy participants with skin phototype III-V. The sample consisted of 70 volunteers with age between 24 to 55 years old there were received to DuaLightTM Model UV120-2 Daavlin 1 Series and Waldmann UV7002B on the upper back. Results The report shows that the mean MED of three NB-UVB instruments were statistically significant (p |
