| Description | Description: "Khao Kan Chin Zongzi" (Northern Thai Rice Dumpling), Khao Kan Chin, or Khao Ngiew is a local Northern Thai dish believed to originate from the Tai Yai (or Ngiew) people. It is made by mixing cooked rice with fresh pig's blood, wrapping it in a banana leaf, and steaming it until cooked. For the Khao Kan Chin Zongzi menu, bamboo leaves are used to wrap the rice mixed with fresh pig's blood, combining all the traditional Zongzi ingredients together and wrapping them in the style of a Chinese rice dumpling. This infuses the dish with a distinct aroma from the bamboo leaves. |
