| Abstract Alternative | Abstract Alternative: This study aimed to examine the factors affecting the decision-making process of consumers toward Non-medical Support services for the health promotion and quality of life of elderly people in Mueang District, Lamphun Province. The study focused on the consumer decision-making process, including problem/need recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, and purchase decision through the 7Ps service marketing mix. The sample group consisted of 385 respondents who were either individuals aged 60 years and over or people responsible for elderly care in Mueang District, Lamphun Province. Convenience sampling was employed in this study. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, and mean. Inferential statistics were also applied using independent t-test for comparisons between two groups and One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) for comparisons among more than two groups. The results revealed that most respondents were individuals taking care of elderly people, female, aged between 30–39 years old, holding a bachelor’s degree, working as private company employees, and earning a monthly income of less than or equal to 20,000 baht. Most respondents had not previously used Non-medical Support services but were interested in using them. The primary reason for their interest was the lack of time to take care of elderly family members by themselves, along with concerns regarding the safety and well-being of elderly people. Regarding information search behavior, respondents placed the highest importance on reviews and experiences from previous users, the atmosphere and facilities of service providers, as well as service package formats and caregiver qualifications. The major sources of information included internet searches, friends or acquaintances, and online reviews from previous users. In terms of evaluation of alternatives through the 7Ps service marketing mix, all factors were found to influence decision-making at high to highest levels. The most influential factor was promotion, followed by price, place, product, people, process, and physical evidence, respectively. Important sub-factors included promotional communication through organizations or experts to enhance credibility, clear and transparent pricing, home visit services, and flexible service options by hour, day, or month. For purchase decision behavior, most respondents considered the credibility of service providers as the main reason for selecting the service. Full-day service packages were the most preferred option. Respondents were willing to pay 501–1,000 baht per visit, 1,001–2,000 baht per day, and less than 10,000 baht per month. QR Code (Prompt Pay) was the most preferred payment method, and most respondents tended to compare several providers before making a decision. In addition, respondents showed a high level of intention to use Non-medical Support services in the future. |
